Hearst Television’s ABC affiliate KHBS-KHOG Fayetteville, Ark., has named Melissa Hall weekday morning traffic and breaking news anchor for 40/29 News Sunrise. Hall joins anchors Yuna Lee, Phil Reed and weather anchor Majestic Storm weekdays from 4:30-7am on KHBS-KHOG and 7-8am on The Arkansas CW subchannel.
This is a homecoming for Hall, as he grew up in Arkansas, earned his Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and his Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Mississippi State University .
Viewers will recognize Hall from his on-air time at other stations in the Fayetteville-Fort Smith market before his most recent stop, Hearst Television’s WJCL in Savannah, Ga. While in Savannah, Hall worked as a meteorologist for three years and also produced weekly segments. with local teachers. Hall will join the 40/29 News Sunrise team later this month, while also serving as meteorologist.
