Wexford and Manistee County officials reported Monday afternoon that a large wildfire in Manistee County’s Cleon Township has prompted evacuations and road closures. The Cadillac Police Department says the fire is located northeast of W Eight Road and N One Road. Wexford County Emergency Management adds that the fire is spreading rapidly northeast in the area where Manistee and Wexford counties meet. Grand Traverse County officials report that the location of the fire, along with the direction of the winds, is bringing smoke into the Grand Traverse County area. 2 arrested after double shooting outside Brockton District Court – Boston 25 News
BROCKTON, Mass – Two people are in custody after a daylight shooting outside Brockton District Court left two people injured Monday afternoon. According to the Brockton Police Department, officers responding to a report of a shooting at 215 Main Street around 12:30 a.m. found a man and a woman with apparent gunshot wounds. The woman was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There was no immediate word on the man’s condition. NORFOLK, Mass. – Police have identified a 54-year-old Taunton woman who died Friday morning in a crash in Norfolk. Pamela Stone died after the sedan she was driving crashed into a tree, Norfolk Police Chief Timothy Heinz said in a statement Monday afternoon. At 10:31 a.m. Friday, Norfolk Police responded to the area of Needham and Main streets for reports of an accident. When officers arrived, they found a sedan had crashed into a tree. LOWELL, Mass. – The body of a 7-year-old girl who disappeared from the driveway of her Lowell home over the weekend was found Monday in the Merrimack River in Tewksbury, law enforcement said.
