DOJ: Minneapolis, MPD ‘engage in pattern or practice of conduct that deprives people of their rights’
MINNEAPOLIS — A two year old Department of Justice investigation was triggered after the killing of George Floyd found that the city of Minneapolis and its police department have engaged in practices that disenfranchise residents, specifically black and Native American residents. According to the DOJ, the investigation determined four basic findings: that the Minneapolis Police Department used excessive force, including “unjustified deadly force,” unlawfully; discriminates against people of colorit deprives people of their First Amendment rights and discriminates against people with behavioral health disabilities when responding to calls for assistance. Orca bites trainer at SeaWorld Orlando and breaks several bones
ORLANDO, Fla. – A coach a SeaWorld Orlando she was seriously injured last year when one of the orcas in the park bit her arm and broke several bones. The incident happened on June 13, 2022, but went largely unnoticed until News 6 obtained an investigative report prepared by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
