CJ STRIKE RESERVOIR, Idaho – A couple from Utah made a record discovery a few weeks ago while fishing CJ Strike Reservoir in southern Idaho. Greg and Angie Poulsen hooked a monster white sturgeon, 10 feet four inches. The giant surpassed the previous state record of 119.5 inches, beating it by 4.5 inches. White sturgeons of this size are incredibly rare. Those that grow more than 10 feet are usually only seen in Hells Canyon, according to Idaho Fish and Wildlife. The Hamden Police Department is investigating a robbery at the Connex Credit Union Wednesday afternoon. Hamden officers responded to a reported robbery at the Connex Credit Union on Dixwell Avenue around 12:45 pm. According to police, the suspect entered the credit union and passed a note to the teller demanding money. Police described the suspect as a woman between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-5 with a dark complexion. He was wearing a blue hoodie and a surgical mask, police said. Michael Moon, 51, of Plainfield, was accused Wednesday evening of breaking into and robbing Edi’s Place, a pizza restaurant on Ward Avenue in Moosup last year.
