DeBARY, Fla. – A man was arrested Friday morning in DeBary after he allegedly broke into two homes and then tried to elude officers by jumping into a swimming pool and diving board, naked, according to sheriff’s officials. Deputies said they responded around 2 a.m. to a report of a burglary at a home on Highbanks Road and encountered the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Blake Tokman. Bixby police say a child has died after being hit by a car Wednesday night. Bixby police sent out an alert asking drivers to avoid the area after they said a child was hit by a car shortly before 7 p.m. According to police, the crash happened at 169th Street and Highway 64 and the area is back open after being closed for nearly three hours while crews investigated the crash. UPDATE 6:34 a.m.: A 65-year-old New Castle man died in an overnight crash in Butler County. James Barge was identified by state police as the victim of a two-vehicle crash that occurred around 1:25 a.m. on New Castle Road near Unionville Road in Franklin Township. Barge, who was the driver and sole occupant of a Toyota Camry, was pronounced dead at the scene.
