ANTIGO, Wis. (WSAW) – A 41-year-old Antigo man is in police custody and two children are safe, after a hostage situation Saturday night that ended early Sunday morning. Antigo Police Chief Dan Duley told NewsChannel 7 that police responded to a domestic dispute call at approximately 8:48 p.m. Saturday. After a mass shooting Sunday morning in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood that left seven people shot, including one fatally, neighbors expressed frustration that their calls to break up a large gathering before the shooting went unheeded . KITTANNING, Pa. — A man has died after a UTV crash in Kittanning. Armstrong County dispatchers say emergency crews were called to Blose Hollow Road at 8:40 pm Saturday evening. Officials say 44-year-old Brendon K. Harrington was driving southbound in a UTV on the road. They believe he overturned the 2015 Polaris RZR after leaving the road. Harrington was pronounced dead at the scene. The Armstrong County Coroner said he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
