Arrests for crimes
domestic abuse – Kij Wess Beeler-Joplin, 29, of the 100 block of North Columbus Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Beeler-Joplin Saturday on charges of second-degree burglary constituting domestic violence and unlawful use of a weapon constituting domestic violence. He was also charged with misdemeanor threatening. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail and held without bond.
incendiary fire – Jorge Cabrera, 28, of the 1300 block of North Central Avenue, Medford. Central Point police arrested Cabrera on felony charges of attempted arson, attempted arson and misdemeanor giving false information to a police officer. He was later interviewed and charged by Medford police with felony first-degree arson and misdemeanor reckless endangerment. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail and held without bond.
Theft – William Raymond Ophardt III, 30, no known address. Medford police arrested Ophardt Sunday on felony counts of first-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief. Ophardt was booked into the Jackson County Jail and released Sunday on his own recognizance.
Criminal mischief – Edgar Aguilar, 19, of the 1100 block of Crown Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Aguilar on Monday on one count of first-degree criminal mischief, one misdemeanor count of third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree disorderly conduct. Aguilar was booked into the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance Monday.
drugs – Jason Allen Burkett, 44, no known address. Medford police arrested Burkett on Monday on a felony charge of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance Monday.
Identity theft – Antonieo Marco Paez, 27, of the 200 block of North Ivy Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Paez on Monday on felony counts of identity theft and misdemeanor counts of providing false information to a peace officer and driving under the influence. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance Monday.
