MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis woman is behind bars after being accused of shooting a man in Raleigh on July 4, police say.
Police responded to the incident around 1 p.m. at the Abbington Apartments near Raleigh Lagrange Road when the victim told officers that 19-year-old Mya Glover had been shot.
According to police, the victim and two other people were outside when several women approached them in a white sedan and began arguing with them. The verbal altercation then turned physical.
A witness said Glover grabbed a gun from the sedan and shot the male victim in an attempt to stop the fight, according to police.

The victim was taken to Regional One in critical condition.
Glover was arrested after being identified in a line-up of six people.
Glover faces a charge of firearms and attempted first-degree murder. His bond is set at $100,000.
