Multi-agency Police Presence In Frankfort, Herkimer County

UPDATE: 08/01/2022 0937 Sources confirm the original incident was an armed robbery on Acme Road in Frankfort. No information, including whether there were any injuries, has yet to be officially released. Police are actively looking for at least one suspect in the case.

Authorities say there will be a “heavy police presence” in the area for some time and the public is advised to avoid active search areas near Acme Road and along Route 5 in the Schuyler and Frankfort area in this moment

Multiple law enforcement agencies are on the scene looking for a suspect or suspects in an incident that occurred this morning in Frankfort.

Several police officers are searching an area off Route 5 in Herkimer County. Police are still unable to confirm the nature of the activity. Multiple agencies are involved, including the New York State Police, the Herkimer County Sheriff’s Office and the Frankfort Police Department.
