Over the weekend, CBS and The Talk family were deeply saddened by the news that their beloved executive producer, Heather Graym, had died at the age of 50. According to CBS, Gray died Saturday of a “relentless illness.”

Gray joined The Tal in 2010 as a Senior Supervising Producer. She was later promoted to co-executive producer, and then named executive producer in August 2019. Prior to her producing duties on The Talk, Gray served as supervising producer for The Tyra Banks Show. Throughout his career he won 4 Daytime Emmy Awards and an NAACP Image Award.

It was called: “Dear Talk Family, On behalf of all of us at CBS, we would like to extend our deepest condolences on the painful loss of our beloved Heather. She was an inspiration to us all, living and thriving as she courageously battled a disease that he was unforgiving. He showed us what true courage looks like.

Heather has been the heart and soul of “The Talk” since day one. Her brilliance as an innovative producer was only surpassed by her big smile and infectious laugh. She was an admired and loved mama bear in your family and a leader that everyone loved. Her contributions to the success of the show are immeasurable, but more importantly, she was a boss who showed that you can lead with kindness, care and friendship. Heather was everyone’s friend, everyone’s champion, everyone’s favorite person on set. We will miss her very much.

We recognize and share the pain and shock you are feeling right now, as well as the pain you will feel in the days ahead. While the show begins its hiatus from August 1 (Monday), we don’t want you to mourn and cry alone. The complex will be open, and HR will have staff and grief counseling available in person and by phone. HR support will also be on site. Sara Gilbert, one of The Talk’s original executive producers and former co-host, shared her grief on Twitter, expressing: “Love you forever Heather.”

Heather has been the heart and soul of ‘The Talk’ since day one. Her brilliance as a producer innovative was only surpassed by her big smile and infectious laugh.”
