Arrests for crimes

Forgery – David Louis Bertik, 45, of the 600 block of Queens Branch Road, Rogue River. Medford police charged Bertik Wednesday with new charges of first-degree forgery, first-degree theft and identity theft. Medford police arrested Bertik Monday on previous charges of identity theft and second-degree burglary, an out-of-county warrant and for violating his probation for possession of methamphetamine. He was also cited Thursday on warrants for failure to appear on earlier charges of first-degree forgery, first-degree possession of a forged instrument, first-degree attempted burglary and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was held in the Jackson County Jail without bond.

controlled substance – Luiz Leonel Meza, 29, no known address. Medford police arrested Meza Tuesday on charges of unlawful manufacture, delivery and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. Meza was jailed on $500,000 bail.

Strangulation – Nolan James Robbins, 30, of the 2000 block of Highgate Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Robbins on charges of domestic abuse strangulation and fourth-degree assault. Robbins was booked into the jail on Tuesday and was no longer listed as an inmate on Thursday.
