PM Modi to dedicate Nation 2G ethanol plant in Panipat

On the occasion of World Biofuels Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a second-generation ethanol plant in Panipat, Haryana on Wednesday, August 10, his office said. The government issued a statement and said that PM Modi will inaugurate this plant on August 10 at 4:30 pm through video conferencing, reports news agency PTI.

The statement said that in recent years, the government has taken several measures to promote the production and use of biofuels in the country.

The statement said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is constantly making efforts to make India’s energy sector more affordable, efficient and better.

The 2G ethanol plant has been constructed by Indian Oil Corporation Limited i.e. IOCL at an estimated cost of over Rs 900 crore. This plant is located near the Panipat Refinery and is based on state-of-the-art indigenous technology.

JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will take oath as chief minister and deputy minister respectively at 2 pm on Wednesday. Top sources said on Tuesday that both will take oath in a simple ceremony at Raj Bhavan at 2 pm.

Nitish Kumar’s JDU and Tejashwi Yadav’s RJD sources said more ministers would be included in the two-member cabinet later.

Kumar will be sworn in as chief minister for the eighth time, leaving the BJP-led NDA. He will lead a coalition of seven parties.
