Arrests for crimes

Theft – Christina Ann Curry, 40, no known address. Medford police arrested Curry on Tuesday on a felony warrant charging her with first-degree burglary and misdemeanor warrants for two counts of second-degree burglary and failure to appear in court on an earlier charge of third-degree burglary. She was booked into the Jackson County Jail on Tuesday and released on her own recognizance Wednesday.

drugs – Joshua Harris Nichols, 35, of the 500 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Nichols on Tuesday on felony counts of manufacture, delivery and possession of more than an ounce of methamphetamine, misdemeanor interference with police, resisting arrest and carrying or concealing a firearm il· legally and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing methamphetamine and manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin. He was being held in jail without bond Thursday.

Identity theft – David Louis Bertik, 45, of the 600 block of Queens Branch Road, Rogue River. Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Bertik on Wednesday on additional counts of identity theft, first-degree forgery and first-degree theft. Medford police originally arrested Bertik on Aug. 1 on charges of identity theft, second-degree theft, an out-of-county warrant and for violating his probation on a prior conviction for possession of methamphetamine. He was being held in jail without bond Thursday.

Vehicle theft – James Austin Buchanan, 23, of the 800 block of Ellendale Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Buchanan on Wednesday for felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was booked into jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.

Theft – Susan Lynn Crawford, 46, of the 2000 block of Northeast Fairview Avenue, Grants Pass. Medford police arrested Crawford on Wednesday on felony counts of first-degree burglary and misdemeanor counts of third-degree burglary and resisting arrest. She was booked into jail Thursday without bond.

sex offender – Tyreese Lasaun Key, 25, no known address. Medford police arrested Key on Wednesday for felony failure to report as a sex offender, misdemeanor resisting arrest and for violating his probation on a prior second-degree sexual assault conviction. He was being held in jail without bond Thursday.

Theft – Sean Byron Taylor, 34, of McMinnville. Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Taylor Wednesday on a felony warrant charging him with first-degree burglary and misdemeanor warrants with three counts of contempt of court for violating a restraining order. He was being held in jail without bond Thursday.

Theft – Steve Daniel Zoll, 40, of the 3400 block of Forest Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Zoll on Wednesday on felony counts of second-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief and misdemeanor counts of second-degree theft of services and second-degree trespassing. He was booked into jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.
