WINCHESTER, Mass. – State police say several people are injured and five people are under arrest after an “altercation” at Shannon Beach in Winchester State Park.
According to the State Police, it is expected that at least one of the victims will be operated on at the General Hospital of Masses.
Several other people were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
All this happened around 8.15pm on Sunday.
State police say initial reports indicated the fight involved a stabbing, but a spokesperson told Boston 25 that investigators have not yet confirmed that.
The investigator says the victim who was taken to Mass General Hospital could also face charges.
Shannon Beach is part of Mystic Lakes State Park on Mystic Avenue in Winchester.
