Rashad will play Renetta Clark, “the quiet and brilliant leader of a stealthy resistance movement,” in four episodes; while Isaac has been cast as Zev Beker, “an Israeli Krav Maga instructor who is equal parts tough and charming,” in three episodes. UNTITLED CSDR FOOTBALL PROJECT (Disney+, New!) – Oscar winner Troy Kotsur will star in a drama proposal for the streamer that will tell the extraordinary story of the football team’s “historic undefeated season” “California School for the Deaf Riverside (CSDR) 2021 and how it earned a spot in the California State Championship game for the first time in school history.” Ron Shelton is attached to direct the pilot at from a script he wrote with Ben Shelton and Kotsur playing the team’s coach.All three will executive produce along with Bert Salke, Gary Foster, Russ Krasnoff, Rainn Wilson, Jack Jason, Bill Horberg, Christina Lurie and showrunner Kevin Falls for ABC Signature John Maucere, an alumnus of the school, will serve as a consultant and co-produce.
