A crash on US 301 in Dade City injured seven people and closed roads Tuesday afternoon, according to Pasco Fire Rescue.
In a tweet at 4:15 p.m., the agency said two of the people were sent to area hospitals as trauma alerts after a collision in the area of US 301, also known as at US Highway 98, and Beth Street.

Two vehicles were seriously damaged in the crash, Pasco Fire Rescue said in the tweet, asking motorists to avoid the area.
Around 5:30 p.m., Pasco Fire Rescue spokesman Corey Dierdorff told the Times that the lane closures had ended.
He said the Florida Highway Patrol handled the crash scene. The Highway Patrol did not immediately respond to requests for additional information about the crash.
