Former British soldier tears down Nazi flag outside his Walker home after community backlash
A former British soldier has taken down a Nazi flag flying outside his home following a community backlash.

Billy Brown put up the red flag, which contained a black and white swastika, in the back garden of his home in Belmont Walk in Walker, Newcastle. Neighbors of the 81-year-old man were left disgusted by his decision to put up the flag on Monday.
A local resident reported how German music was also heard in his home during the morning and afternoon. The tune being played at the property was Erika, a marching song composed in the 1930s and used by the German military.
