LEXINGTON, Va. – A monument to remember and honor families who lost a loved one in the line of duty. This is the purpose of Gold Star Family Memorials. Jordan Williams, 20, was charged Wednesday with involuntary manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon in the death of Devictor Ouedraogo, 36, on a J train Tuesday night. Pentagon leak suspect Jack Teixeira charged in publishing secret documents
A federal grand jury on Thursday indicted Pentagon leak suspect Jack Teixeira on six counts of withholding and knowingly transmitting national defense information. Bill Cosby sued in Nevada by 9 women who accuse him of sexual assault
Nine women filed a sexual assault lawsuit against Bill Cosby in Nevada on Wednesday, just weeks after the state passed a law eliminating the statute of limitations in civil cases. The suit, filed in the US District Court for Nevada, accuses Cosby of using his “enormous power, fame and prestige” to isolate and sexually assault each of the nine women named in the suit. Albany Empire kicked out of the National Arena League
The Albany Empire has been kicked out of the National Arena League. The decision was taken unanimously National Arena League Board of Owners. “The decision was made following an emergency conference call of members in good standing to discuss Empire’s failure to pay its league’s due and owed assessments,” the board said in a statement. Vermont man accused of killing mother at sea dies before federal trial
A man accused of murdering his mother in what authorities described as an inheritance scheme has died months before his trial was set to begin. U.S. marshals notified federal prosecutors in Vermont of Nathan Carman’s death, which occurred “on or about June 15,” according to a court document filed Thursday by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Vermont to dismiss the case. The circumstances of Carman’s death were not immediately known. Neither the marshals office nor Carman’s attorneys immediately returned requests from NBC News for more information about her death.
