The Albany Empire has been kicked out of the National Arena League.

The decision was taken unanimously National Arena League Board of Owners.

“The decision was made following an emergency conference call of members in good standing to discuss Empire’s failure to pay its league’s due and owed assessments,” the board said in a statement.

The team has been in a lot of turmoil since former NFL player Antonio Brown took over the team earlier this year.

That means this Saturday’s home game, and the rest of the Empire’s season, is off.

MVP Arena released a statement saying individual and season ticket holders will be refunded for the remaining three home games.
