Newton man charged with murder in fatal attack on wife – Boston 25 News
NEWTON, Mass — A Newton man is charged with murder in the fatal attack on his wife at their Newton home. Prosecutors say the attack happened while her children were home, one of whom called police for help. Richard Hanson, 64, is charged with murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury in connection with the death of his wife, Nancy Hanson, 54. Woman shot, dead in Braddock identified; police say the incident started as a neighborhood dispute: WPXI
BRADDOCK, Pa. – A woman who was shot to death in Braddock on Sunday has been identified, and state police say the shooting started as a neighborhood dispute. Erica Vail, 43, was shot in the 500 block of Corey Avenue in Braddock around 7:30 p.m. She was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital, where she was pronounced dead around 8:20 p.m., according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner. The New York Assembly Democratic conference’s campaign war chest will report more than $2.2 million in cash later Monday, according to a source familiar with the filing. The Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee, the political arm of the supermajority conference, reports total cash for any conference campaign group or party major committee over the past 23 years in a presentation of non-election years. The campaigns are reporting their mid-year campaign finance reports, which will be made public Monday in accordance with state election law.
