Atlanta-based companies Greenwood, a digital banking services company founded for black and Latino people, and The Gathering Spot, a networking center and co-working space, announced Monday that they have settled their business disputes. News of a pact comes a little more than a week after the months-long rift spilled out publicly amid a series of lawsuits. Atlanta police released photos Saturday morning of two men suspected of breaking into more than 100 cars at an apartment complex in Inman Park. Despite the number of cars damaged at the Mariposa Lofts complex on Montag Circle, two handguns were the only items reported stolen, Atlanta police said. An APD patrol car was among the vehicles damaged during the day, but no weapons were taken from it. Photos of the suspects show the two men on the parking deck wearing sportswear, hoodies and gloves. BOSTON — Two Lawrence men have pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiring to distribute fentanyl to people at the Bedford Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the U.S. Attorney’s office said Monday. Deiby Bladimil Casado Ruiz, 30, and Pedro Antonio Sanchez Bernabel, 31, both of Lawrence, pleaded guilty Friday to one count of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and distribution of fentanyl. U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani scheduled Casado Ruiz’s sentencing for Nov. 1 and Bernabel’s for Nov. 6. Both men were charged in November 2022.
