The PUNCH had reported on June 30, 2022 that Mompha’s absence stalled his alleged Sh6 billion money laundering trial before Justice Mojisola Dada of the Ikeja Special Offenses Court. Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig announced Wednesday, August 3 that the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a report of animal neglect. In the statement, Hartwig says the Sheriff’s Office received information from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) in late July about possible hoarding and neglect of rabbits, poultry and other animals at a township farm of Schleswig.
