Former man arrested after overnight hostage situation, children safe

ANTIGO, Wis. (WSAW) – A 41-year-old Antigo man is in police custody and two children are safe, after a hostage situation Saturday night that ended early Sunday morning. Antigo Police Chief Dan Duly told NewsChannel 7 that police responded to a domestic dispute call at approximately 8:48 p.m. Saturday. Authorities in Marlow say there were no injuries or fatalities after seven train cars carrying grain, flour and dirt derailed Sunday afternoon. Marlow Fire Chief Jason Miller said the cars at the back of the train derailed around 12:30 a.m. near East Memorial Drive and North Railroad Street in Stephens County.
