The State Police Special Emergency Response Team is involved in a standoff at a home in North Huntingdon, Westmoreland County, where police say multiple gunshots were heard. Sky 4 with Action Cam showed a heavy police presence in the area of the standoff on Ivanhoe Drive. We’re trying to keep everyone away . from this area,” said Trooper Steve Limani. The situation began after North Huntingdon police went to the home for a welfare check around 1 p.m., Limani said. “When they went to the residence, they heard gunshots inside,” he said. “They retreated and set up a perimeter, called for backup.” Police said the person who fired the shots is believed to be the only person in the home.
