Two men seriously injured in vehicle crash, fire on I-94

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – Two men were seriously injured when their pickup truck crashed into the back of a tractor trailer and caught fire on I-94 in Fargo Friday afternoon.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a 71-year-old Detroit Lakes man was driving his truck eastbound (toward Moorhead) on I-94 near the University Drive exit in Fargo when he see that a tractor trailer slows down, due to road construction. The Highway Patrol says the truck crashed and immediately caught fire.

Both the 71-year-old man and his 53-year-old passenger were taken to Sanford Hospital with serious injuries. Authorities say their names will be released tomorrow.

The person driving the tractor trailer was not injured.
