The Milwaukee Police Department recovered a body from the Milwaukee River Saturday morning near Fratney and Commerce streets. On Thursday, the Milwaukee Fire Department told WISN 12 News that two people told them they saw a man struggling in the river near the area where the body was found. It is unknown if the two incidents are related. The investigation is ongoing and MPD has not released any additional details. The medical examiner has not released the person’s name.
