The death toll from violence in Gaza has risen to 31, including six children, the Hamas-run health ministry in the Palestinian enclave said on Sunday.
Gaza officials did not say how many of the total dead were affiliated with terrorist groups.
The Israel Defense Forces say scores of Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists are among those killed in multiple waves of attacks that have targeted positions and facilities belonging to the terrorist group in the Gaza Strip.
Israel also said four Gazan children were killed Saturday night in a failed Islamic Jihad rocket. In all, Israel says at least nine of the deaths in Gaza have been the result of failed rocket launches by the terrorist group.
An explosion in Jabaliya early Sunday morning killed at least two people and wounded seven others, according to Palestinian media reports.

Israeli officials told reporters it appeared to have been a failed rocket launch, at least the second in several hours.
According to an initial investigation, the IDF said it was not conducting strikes in the Jabaliya refugee camp area at the time of the blast.

This apparent launch failure came after four children were among the seven killed, also in the Jabaliya refugee camp, apparently under similar circumstances on Saturday evening.
Israel has denied responsibility for the deaths, saying the explosion was caused by a rocket fired by Palestinian terrorist operatives that failed.
The IDF released a video on Sunday morning of what it said showed the rocket failure on Saturday night.
The video showed a rocket launch from the strip, with one rocket appearing to stop shortly after launch, before plummeting toward the Jabaliya camp. Gaza officials say the children were killed in an Israeli strike.
According to IDF estimates, 120 rockets fired from Gaza since Friday have fallen short in the Strip.
Also on Saturday, Israel said it had killed a senior leader of the Islamic Jihad terror group in the Gaza Strip.
Khaled Mansour was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Palestinian city of Rafah, officials said. The terrorist group confirmed his death in a statement on Sunday morning.

Mansour was the southern Gaza counterpart of Tayseer Jabari, the terror group’s commander in northern Gaza, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Friday.
The health ministry in Gaza, which is under the control of the Hamas terror group, the rulers of the Strip, said 265 people had been injured in Gaza since the start of Operation Breaking Dawn on Friday afternoon.
According to the IDF, terrorists have fired at least 580 rockets into Israel since Friday, including rockets fired at Jerusalem on Sunday morning, with at least 120 falling short of the Strip.
