One dead in apartment building fire in Westmoreland County

The Westmoreland County Coroner was called to the scene after a fire broke out at an apartment building in Greensburg Monday night. The coroner confirmed to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that one man died at the scene. The Westmoreland County Coroner identified the man as 40-year-old David M. Bramini. The cause and manner of death are pending autopsy and toxicology reports. The fire was reported shortly before 11:40 p.m. at Autumn Brook Apartments in the area of ​​Indiana Avenue near Luzerne Street and Allegheny Street. Firefighters spent hours at the scene, although there did not appear to be significant damage to the exterior of the structure. Ronell Gray said he lives in the same building where the man died and described the fire. “A lot of smoke, I didn’t see any flames, just a lot of smoke,” Ronell Gray said. Gray said he left his place before firefighters entered the apartment. “He took my son, my little girl, my family and made sure we got out safe,” Gray said. There was no initial word on the cause of the fire.
