Dallas — Hispanic voters are fleeing the Democratic Party, so Fox News Digital made the rounds at CPAC Texas 2022 asking high-profile Hispanic conservatives why their community has deteriorated to the liberal agenda.
In recent years, Hispanics and members of America’s Latino communities have voted overwhelmingly Democratic, but it appears that a shift in support from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party could occur as several begin to drift away of President Biden and his party’s policies.
Social issues are among the top concerns, as Latino voters have rejected the politically correct term “Latinx” preferred by some Democrats. A 2021 poll showed that only 2% of Hispanic voters even use it. The poll also showed that 40 percent of Latinos were upset by the term, and 30 percent said it would prevent them from voting for a candidate who used the term. Other Hispanic voters are concerned about the economy, securing the southern border or simply offended by leftist rhetoric.
CNN SLAMS DEMOCRATS FOR LOSS OF HISPANIC VOTERS: TEXAS ELECTION ‘WARNING SIGN’
A Quinnipiac University poll released last month put Biden’s support among Hispanics at just 19 percent. The mainstream media has taken notice, as several news organizations including CNN, Axios, MSNBC, CBS and NBC News have put the spotlight on Hispanic voters leaving the Democratic Party in recent weeks. While national Republicans may still have an uphill battle to capture a majority of this electorate, the trend appears to be moving in their direction.
Here’s what some high-profile Hispanic conservatives who attended CPAC had to say when asked why more people in their community feel out of step with the modern Democratic Party:

I have been involved in Hispanic outreach for many years and I am finally seeing a turnaround. I’m finally seeing these Hispanic voters walk away from the Democrats saying, “Wait a second, this radicalized agenda of selected gender, critical race theory, more taxes, this doesn’t fit where my family is,” and finally we took the decision to impeach the Democratic Party, and we have a great opportunity with Republicans and conservatives to win the Hispanic vote, but we have to make that commitment. We need to make sure that marriage happens between Hispanics and conservatives.
Congresswoman Mayra Flores, R-Texas, told Fox News Digital that the beliefs and concerns of Hispanic voters do not align with the Democratic Party.

The Democratic Party has abandoned our values. We are pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, all about hard work. It’s in our DNA, we’re conservative and those values align with the Republican Party. And of course the current administration is doing a horrible job. They are hurting us a lot economically and of course the southern border is an issue that affects us as well.

You have a Democratic Party that has never really represented the values of the Hispanic communities and our interests and the Hispanic community is not monolithic, there are so many issues that we are passionate about, that we care about. [about]. Most importantly, many people left their home countries, came to the United States looking for a better opportunity, and this country has given them that. And we see people rising up like never before, standing up to the radical left, fighting to take this country back, because we can’t afford to lose America. If America falls, the whole world falls. America is that beacon of hope for the world.

When I talk to voters, every day they ask me, “Cassy, what is Latinx, what are these pronouns,” you know? After all, we’re not talking about pronouns. We’re talking about securing the border, we’re talking about inflation, we’re talking about the economy, we’re talking about people struggling every day, trying to make ends meet, trying to put food on the table. . And so when they hear about Jill Biden calling us “unique as a breakfast taco,” or when she speaks at a Latino inclusion conference, that doesn’t identify with the people of South Texas.
So, at the end of the day, this administration’s failed policies are hurting everyday Americans, and that’s why, this November, we’ll see more Hispanics vote Republican.

Latinos have always been conservative at heart. I think the Democrats fooled Latinos into thinking they were the party for us, but today they’ve pushed so hard against family values, so hard to brainwash our kids, and really, you know, harm our pocket Latinos, we came here for a better life, we came here for the American dream, and now Latinos, we’re seeing that all gone and now finally…turn around and look at the Republican Party and recognize that actually, the Republican. The holiday is the holiday of our values, which are faith, family and hard work ethic.

I think the Democratic Party and really progressive leaders have this idea that Latinos, all we care about is open border policies…immigration, climate change, and gender neutral pronouns. And that might work for the coastal elites, maybe in Los Angeles and New York, but you reach Middle America and the average Latino voter, those are not the things we’re talking about at the dinner table. If you look at all the polls…the issues that Latinos care about are the economy, making sure there’s opportunity, job opportunities, safety. So now that we’re hitting record inflation, we haven’t had that inflation since 1981. We have open borders, Latino neighborhoods across the country are really being hit by high crime rates and underfunding of the police. movement, it’s no wonder that after this whole campaign that really hurts and negatively affects the Latino community, Latinos are waking up and voting Republican.
