PITTSBURGH – Two Pittsburgh police officers were injured while responding to an incident on Pittsburgh’s South Side.
Allegheny County dispatchers sent police, fire and EMS personnel to the intersection of 11th Street and East Carson Street for a report of a man acting violently and making threats.
The officers arrived at the scene at around half past two in the afternoon
Authorities said the man began struggling with officers as they tried to take him into custody.
One of the officers had injuries to his face and the other possibly had a broken wrist.
The man was arrested and is currently being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
