Former President Donald Trump has denied ever having a secret document on the Iran attack despite a recording of him discussing a document he kept from his presidency.
Trump spoke in an interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier at his Bedminster, New Jersey, estate less than a week after he pleaded not guilty to 37 charges in federal court in Miami in his appearance He had been indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly intentionally mishandling classified documents, obstruction of justice and making false statements.
The former president also took on Baier over his insistence that he won the 2020 election, which he did not, as the Fox News host made clear in a difficult exchange.
Voters may also be sick of Mr. Trump. In a new poll, voters were more likely to describe Donald Trump with one word: a “criminal.”
Trump also complained about the latest Quinnipiac University poll cited by Fox News showing Joe Biden beating him in the 2024 election as the network prepared to air an interview with him.
