Emergency services are involved in several major incidents in the village of Dornie and Skye, which are believed to be linked, after a woman was injured.

Police have this afternoon confirmed to the Lochaber Times that a 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incidents after a number of other police vehicles, reportedly armed response units and a helicopter ).

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We were made aware of an injured woman at a property in the Tarskavaig area of ​​Skye shortly before 9am on Wednesday 10 August.

“Police are also attending two other incidents in Teangue in Skye and Dornie which are being linked.

A 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. At this stage we believe the situation is contained and there is no risk to the wider community. Inquiries are ongoing.
