VICTORIA, Texas – 25 News Now has confirmed that the former high school coach at St. Joseph, Alvin Mumphord III, 45, was found guilty of 17 felony counts of child sexual abuse Wednesday afternoon.
Mumford was convicted of six counts of improper relationship between an educator and a student, three counts of indecency with a child and eight counts of online solicitation of a minor for sexual conduct.
Mumford was charged with 22 counts of sexual offenses with ten counts of indecency with a child, five counts of online solicitation of a minor for sexual conduct and seven counts of improper relationship between an educator and a student.
Court records show the charges date from November 2004 to March 2021. Mumford is represented by defense attorney Myron Davis.
