(Center Twp., Beaver County, PA) Beaver County 911 reports that the Center Township Police Department and firefighters were called at 12:43 p.m. Friday to the scene of a man suffering from a gunshot wound near the exit from the center. As of 2 p.m., Brodhead Road was closed from Pleasant Drive. No other information is available at this time as this is an ongoing investigation.
Update: Pa. State Police. said a man shot himself inside a Center Township police vehicle. Police have set up a perimeter along Broadhead Rod near Pleasant Drive to investigate. It is unclear why the man was in the police vehicle and how he got a gun into a police vehicle.
The man’s identity has not been released.
Posts on social media said a man was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and police were asking the Central Fire Service to block the road and a helicopter was on standby.
