A man and a woman died Sunday morning after a crash on OK-9 in Caddo County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Authorities said Benjamin Horse, 45, and Robin Gomez, 38, were pronounced dead at the scene near County Road 1330 in Fort Cobb, Okla., by medical examiners.
OHP says Horse was driving a 2012 Chevy Traverse southbound with Gomez as a passenger.
The car then swerved to the left and hit a guardrail. Authorities say that sent the car airborne off the embankment and into the Washita River, where it landed on its top.
OHP said the horse was ejected and Gomez was found in the car with her seat belt on.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash and the condition of the driver.
