16-year-old killed in crash in Fayette County – WPXI

SALTLICK TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A 16-year-old Connellsville boy died and two others were taken to the hospital after a crash in Fayette County Saturday afternoon.

Pennsylvania State Police said they were called to a report of a crash at the intersection of Indian Creek Valley Road and Calvary Church Road in Saltlick Township around 2:58 p.m. Saturday.

State police say a 19-year-old was driving a 1993 Ford Mustang at a high rate of speed, and the 16-year-old boy who died was a passenger in that car.

Police say they crashed into a 2016 GMC Sierra operated by a 28-year-old man.

Both the driver of the Mustang and the driver of the Sierra were taken to the hospital. The 16-year-old passenger in the Mustang was pronounced dead at the scene.

The child’s name has not been released. Charges are pending investigation.
