The Saratoga County District Attorney is investigating the conduct of Mavis Discount Tire employees who worked on the limousine involved in the Schoharie crash.

The 2018 tragedy killed 20 people.

District Attorney Karen Heggen told NewsChannel 13’s Dan Levy on Wednesday that she has asked state police to provide her with all the information they have gathered about what happened when the limo was in Mavis’ garage in Saratoga Springs.

The employees were incriminated during the trial of Nauman Hussain, the operator of the limousine company that owned the vehicle. They admitted under oath that they committed fraud, billing Hussain for limo repair work that was never done.

Hussain is charged with 20 counts each of manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide. Defense attorney Lee Kindlon says Mavis is to blame for the crash, not his client.
