PRODUCTION BEGINS ON HALLMARK CHANNEL’S ‘THE WAY HOME,’ A NEW PRIMETIME ORIGINAL SERIES COMING TO THE NETWORK IN 2023

Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh and Sadie Laflamme-Snow Star Created by Marly Reed, Heather Conkie and Alexandra Clarke

STUDIO CITY, CA – August 15, 2022 – Production has begun on “The Way Home,” Hallmark Channel’s new original series premiering on the network in 2023. Andie MacDowell (“Maid,” “Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove”) , Chyler Leigh (“Supergirl,” “Grey’s Anatomy”) and Sadie Laflamme-Snow (“The Apprentice”) star in this multi-generational family drama shot in and around Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

“The Way Home” is a family drama that follows the lives of three generations of women: Kat Landry (Leigh), her 15-year-old daughter Alice (Laflamme-Snow) and Kat’s mother, Del (MacDowell), who are all strong, voluntary and independent. More than 20 years earlier, life-changing events drove Kat away from her small Canadian farming town of Port Haven, and she remains estranged from Del to this day. Alice has never met her grandmother and is unaware of the reasons for her fractured family. With Kat’s marriage coming to an end and having just been fired from her job, she decides to return home after receiving an unexpected letter from Del urging her to return. Although Alice isn’t too thrilled, Kat and her daughter arrive at her family’s farm, although the reunion isn’t what Kat had imagined. As the three generations of women slowly work to find their place as a family, they embark on an enlightening and surprising journey that none of them could have imagined as they learn to find their way back to to each other.

“The Way Home” is produced by Marly Reed, Arnie Zipursky and Lauren MacKinlay for Neshama Entertainment; Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer and Fernando Szew for MarVista Entertainment; and Heather Conkie, Alexandra Clarke, Andie MacDowell and Chyler Leigh.
