Effective July 5, 2023, CE Pro Editor-in-Chief and respected industry veteran Jason Knott will assume the role of data solutions architect and evangelist at D-Tools. (opens in a new tab) to drive the company to become the trusted source of data analysis and insights for the electronic systems industry.
Knott has been a fixture of the custom electronics industry for decades, running the industry’s leading trade publication and news website since 2000. In his new role, Knott will work with the team at ‘information and knowledge of the D-Tools industry to define and provide an extended service. set of timely, accurate and actionable business intelligence for stakeholders in the residential systems, commercial AV and commercial security industries.

Knott has been involved in the low-voltage electronics industry for the past 33 years, first as Editor-in-Chief of Safety Sales and Integration, and in the same role at CE Pro since 2000. During the For the past 10 years, Knott has overseen a group of integrator-focused publications and websites, including CE Pro, Security Sales & Integration, and Commercial Integrator, as content director. He has served on several industry association committees over the decades, including CEDIA’s Business Education Task Force for 10 years. Received the Consumer Technology Association’s 2022 Smart Home Division Leadership Award.
