The federal DOT today officially approved the City of Watertown’s recommendation to the federal DOT to stay “status quo” and keep flights to Chicago and Denver.
Watertown Regional Airport will continue to offer flights from Watertown to Denver and Chicago, operating with Denver Air Connection, City Manager Amanda Mack confirmed to KXLG News.
Federal DOT funding tops $US6.7 million ($6,772,587) annually, a seven percent increase for a two-year contract. It will not affect local budgets, as the federal DOT subsidizes essential air service.
