ROCHESTER, Mass. – Authorities in Massachusetts are asking for help identifying the remains of a girl whose remains were found Thursday at a Rochester recycling center.
Cape and Islands District Attorney Robert Galibois and Massachusetts State Police say the remains were discovered at Zero Waste Solutions on Cranberry Highway. The baby was found inside a collection of trash that came from Martha’s Vineyard and was bought in Rochester for disposal, MSP says.
Officials believe the baby’s mother possibly lives, has recently visited, or has some connection to Martha’s Vineyard.
The remains are currently being examined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Anyone with information that could assist investigators is asked to contact Massachusetts State Trooper Dustin Shaw at 508-790-5799.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
