Critics of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, eager to see her held accountable for her use of a private email server, may be disappointed by a recent Facebook post that hints at an upcoming prosecution.
“Breaking Trump quietly announces that Hillary’s prosecution is moving forward,” reads a video description on April 23. publication.

If you watch the video, a clip from a conservative YouTube channel, it soon becomes clear that it’s not breaking, not even recently.
It’s from November 2016. The show’s host speculates that former president Donald Trump—then president-elect—would prosecute the Clinton family, a promise he made during the campaign. The show dates to November 22, 2016, tweet from New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, who said: “Trump says ‘no’ when asked if he’s taking investigations off the table for the Clintons, but adds he doesn’t want to ‘hurt the Clintons.'”
Still, the Times that day reported that Trump “had no interest in pressing for Mrs. Clinton to be prosecuted for her use of a private email server or for financial acts committed by the Clinton Foundation.”
Here at present, we have found no evidence that Trump has more recently suggested that he has inside knowledge of any future prosecution of Clinton.
