One man dead and two teenagers injured in the 301 accident in Hillsborough, USA

A 93-year-old man was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on U.S. 301 near Wimauma, troopers said.

The man was traveling south in a pickup truck and turned left at the intersection of Bill Tucker Road “into the path” of a 17-year-old driving a sedan, according to the State Highway Patrol. Florida.

The teenager, who is from Brandon and was not wearing a seat belt, hit the pickup truck which then rolled several times. Both vehicles came to rest on the east shoulder of the roadway, troopers said.

The man later died in hospital from the injuries he sustained during the accident. The 17-year-old suffered serious injuries and his 19-year-old passenger, who is from Lithia, suffered minor injuries.

US 301 is a major artery that connects eastern Pasco County to Tampa and continues further south into Manatee County. He usually meets drivers during peak hours and weekends.
