EDGEWOOD, Pa. – A shooting in broad daylight Friday afternoon has shaken employees at a local mall.

It started in downtown Edgewood just after 2:30 p.m. Several cars and the window of a business were shot out. According to police, the shooting moved to Swissvale, where a Woodland Hills school bus was hit by a bullet.

Swissvale police also tell us a school bus was hit at a different location.

There was no student on the bus at the time. The district superintendent told Channel 11 the driver was not injured.

“It was a quiet day until this happened and everyone looked like they were shocked,” Malcolm Drain said. Works at Pet Supplies Plus. Several cars outside the store were hit.

There was also a visible bullet hole in one of the Dollar Tree windows. The window was double-glazed and the bullet didn’t break the second.

“Whoa, I’m shocked. This has never happened to me before. Somebody could have been hurt, killed, you know? Too much violence and stuff like that,” said Shalayah Dorsey. He was working inside The Dollar Tree when shots were fired.

“Without self-control. It shows a lack of judgment, a lack of character just to be able to do that in broad daylight and not care about anybody’s life,” said Davonn Gajewski. He works at Dollar Tree but was off duty when it happened.
