Pedestrian hit and killed in North Andover, DA says – Boston 25 News

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – A pedestrian has died after being struck by a car in North Andover Sunday afternoon, the district attorney said.

The identity of the victim was not released pending notification of next of kin.

The pedestrian was walking on a sidewalk along Massachusetts Avenue near Route 125 when the pedestrian was struck by a Honda Civic around 1:30 p.m., Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker said in a statement

The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to Lawrence General Hospital and pronounced dead, Tucker said.

The driver stayed at the scene.

No charges or citations have been filed.

The fatal crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and North Andover Police Department detectives.
