WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. – A school bus driver was taken to a hospital after a bus crashed into a home in West Mifflin Thursday afternoon.

Allegheny County dispatchers said firefighters and medics were called to the 1500 block of Homestead Duquesne Road at 3:25 p.m.

Video obtained by Channel 11 shows the school bus careening down the road, hitting a parked car and plowing into the front of the house.
Thamer Collins lives two doors down from where the bus crashed.
His car was the first of several to be hit by the bus before it came to rest partially inside the house.
“It was amazing. It was like Fast and Furious,” Collins said. “I heard the impact, I looked outside, the van was on its side and the bus was in the house.”
The superintendent of the West Mifflin Area School District said there were no students on the bus when it crashed. The bus driver had just graduated from the district high school.
The driver is expected to be OK.
“She jumped off the back of the bus. She was dazed, a little confused, but she didn’t look like she was seriously hurt,” Collins said.
11 News was told there was severe structural damage to the home.
