The 50th Daytime Emmy Awards are postponed.

Soap operas have not been directly affected by the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, but the annual awards show that honors them has. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has made an important announcement related to the 50th Annual Daytime Emmys, which were scheduled for Friday, June 16.
50th Daytime Emmys postponed
“The 50th Daytime Emmy Awards scheduled for Friday, June 16 on CBS is postponed due to the WGA [Writers Guild of America] to hit. Additionally, the Creative Arts Lifestyle ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, June 17, has been postponed pending a strike resolution. We look forward to our community coming together as one to celebrate our golden anniversary and all the talented nominees and honorees going forward.”
The nominees are
On April 26, the 50 nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards were revealed. General Hospital led the nominations with 19, followed by The Bold and the Beautiful with 14, The Young and the Restless with 13 nominations and Days of our Lives with 11. Digital drama Beyond Salem: Chapter 2 (Peacock) and The Bay (Popstar! TV) earned three nominations each. Click here for a list of nominated actors and shows.
