4:35 The District sent an email stating that Vaughn Boatner has been suspended and that his badge no longer provides access to campus facilities.
Vaughn Boatner, the director of fitness operations at the College of San Mateo, is currently wanted by the US Marshalls for the alleged murder of his ex-wife and the attempted murder of her partner.
A district-wide alert was issued to all students and staff at the San Mateo County Community College District, warning of a murder suspect on the loose.
Boatner allegedly shot his ex-wife and his partner at his residence on May 11 before fleeing his residence later that day. The authorities showed up shortly after with an arrest warrant.
CSM Public Safety said they do not see Boatner as an immediate threat to campus and that the alert is the immediate action at this time.
The gym confirmed the suspect was employed by CSM, his current employment status was not immediately known.
According to the Hayward Police Department, they issued a press release on May 12 and Boatner has been on the run ever since.
Anyone who may have seen Boatner is asked to call 911 as soon as possible.
