Third meeting of the G20 Environment Working Group in Mumbai today:
The third meeting of the G20 Environment and Climate Sustainability Working Group (ECSWG) will be held in Mumbai from May 21 to 23, focusing on aspects of the blue economy, officials announced on Saturday.
The meeting will begin with a beach clean-up event in Juhu, followed by the Ocean 20 dialogue.
The Ocean 20 platform, which was launched during the Indonesian Presidency Dialogue, aims to advance the idea and action of ocean solutions.
The Indian Presidency is demonstrating active leadership by anchoring the Ocean 20 Dialogue at the 3rd ECSWG, which will focus on three significant pillars of the blue economy, according to a statement from the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change.

The Palam Khap on Saturday expressed disappointment at the disregard shown to the demands of the protesting wrestlers, who are seeking the arrest of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on charges of sexual harassment, IANS reported.
Palam Khap leader Surendra Solanki on Sunday announced that a mega Khap Panchayat will be held in Meham, Haryana to amplify the movement against the central government’s “arbitrary” actions. The leaders of various Khaps will present the draft of the future course of the movement to the panchayat.
