Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to announce he’s running for president during discussion with Elon Musk – WFTV

ORLANDO, Fla. – ABC News has confirmed reports that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will announce he’s running for president on Wednesday during a discussion with Twitter CEO Elon Musk.

Bryan Griffin, a spokesman for DeSantis, confirmed Tuesday’s planned announcement, which is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

DeSantis will join Sen. Tim Scott, RS.C., former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and former President Donald Trump, who previously announced plans to seek the Republican nomination.

President Joe Biden announced in April that he was seeking re-election.
